UiTM Malaysia learns Waste Management System in TPST Samtaku - Jimbaran, Bali

Wednesday, 23 November 2022 - On this day, TPST Samtaku Jimbaran have received a visit from university students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. Those students who are within the magister level of Project Management major is currently conduct a study to asses the business and operations aspect of waste management sectors as well as the ways to properly conduct a waste management operations that complies to the government regulations, environmental and social considerations.


The UiTM thus picked Bali as their place as the case study where they also visited TPST Samtaku Jimbaran to observe how this TPST (MRF) have become the example to minimize waste to go to the landfill. The students visited Bali to learn how Bali, a heavily tourism-dependent place could manage its waste.


During the visit at TPST Samtaku Jimbaran, the students have been given a brief explanation of waste situation in Bali as well as how Reciki have become the frontliner in solving the waste issue. Reciki then explained the process or flows of its waste management system within TPST Samtaku Jimbaran as well as its final product from their processing.


Furthermore, the students have received a knowledge about how Reciki as a private sector plays it role as an entity which operates its business in Bali and how the products are being distributed.


Not only that the students have been given information about how TPST Samtaku Jimbaran is being operated, but there were fruitful discussions where the students gave their opinions regarding waste management practices as well as asking questions about how Reciki can do it well.
