Circularity Tour - The Most Sustainable Way to do Sightseeing in Bali



Wednesday, 2 November 2022 - To provide an overview of waste management in Bali, Danone-Aqua in collaboration with the National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) held a Circularity Tour in a series of Road to G20: Beating Plastic Pollution from Source to Sea.


The Samtaku MRF became one of the destinations visited by the participants of the Circularity Tour which amounted to 40 participants from various organizations ranging from government, private sector, NGOs and the media. The CEO of Reciki Solusi Indonesia, Bhima Aries Diyanto and PT Reciki Mantap Jaya, I Nyoman Sutarma welcomed the participants and gave an explanation of how the Samtaku MRF in Jimbaran started and the waste management model carried out at the MRF.


Participants also had the opportunity to see Samtaku MRF facility, where they saw the waste management process from the beginning of weighing to processing from raw materials to useful products such as RDF, compost, recycled plastic, etc.


Sampangan Indonesia which is a partner of Reciki for organic waste management, get the opportunity to showcase innovation 'Magic Box' and the results of waste management process of technology in the form of biochar, activated carbon, liquid smoke, organic fertilizers and other products.


This Circularity Tour ended with a discussion event where the parties held discussions related to the waste management system that must be implemented in Bali and Indonesia as a whole.
